Privacy Policy

1. What data does the Nubo device collect?

The Nubo device records button presses (feeding, sleep, diaper events) with timestamps. This data is stored on the device until it syncs to the Nubo companion app via Bluetooth. The device does not connect to the internet and does not transmit data to any server.

2. What data does the Nubo app collect?

The Nubo app stores your baby's activity logs locally on your phone. If you choose to create an optional account for caregiver sharing, we store only the minimum information needed to enable collaboration:

• Email address (optional, for account identification)
• Display name (optional, shown to other caregivers)
• Transient encrypted activity data (shared between linked caregivers during syncing)

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. Where is data stored?

Activity data is stored locally on your device by default. If you enable caregiver sharing, encrypted data is temporarily relayed through our servers to sync between devices. We cannot read this data because it is end-to-end encrypted.

Optional backups are stored in your personal iCloud or Google Drive account, not on Nubo servers.

4. Caregiver sharing and encryption

When you invite a caregiver, a secure sharing link is generated. Activity data shared between caregivers can sync across iOS and Android devices and is encrypted end-to-end. Nubo servers act only as a relay and cannot decrypt or access the content of shared data.

5. Analytics and tracking

The Nubo app does not include third-party advertising SDKs. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as which features are used most often) to improve the app experience. These statistics cannot be linked to individual users or babies.

This website uses Plausible for cookieless, privacy-friendly, aggregated website analytics. We do not use tracking pixels, retargeting scripts, session replay, heatmaps, or cookie-banner-dependent tracking.

6. Data retention and deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from within the Nubo app. If you delete your account, all associated data (including backups on iCloud and Google Drive) is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

7. Children's privacy

Nubo is a tool for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is intended for use by adults to track their baby's activities.

8. Third-party services

Nubo integrates with the following third-party services only when you choose to use them:

• Apple iCloud / Google Drive for optional backup

Each of these services is governed by its own privacy policy. Nubo does not share your data with any other third parties.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
